Who are you to tell who we can love?

This is about the gays, lesbians, bisexuals. They are second class citizens. What's wrong with being gay? Really. Tell me, what is so wrong about being gay? What is so wrong about somebody loving the same sex? Is it really so bad, do these people deserve hate, to the extent where they could take their own lives? That you take away their rights?

I'm very overwhelmed with these feelings, they are people too, so why treat them like less. They are second class citizens, and if you don't know what a secondhand citizen is; a second class citizen is defined as: a person whose rights and opportunities are treated as less important than those of other people in the same society. Tell me, what good comes out of this? Look at this. 40% of gay males and 39% of lesbians surveyed had either attempted or seriously contemplated suicide. Don't they matter? Think of the adolescences who aren't accepted by their parents, their family. 50% of all gay and lesbian youth report that their parents reject them due to their sexual orientation.

Why are people using religion as an excuse to hate on homosexuals? Excuse me? God doesn't hate gays. From what I learned when I was younger, God loves everyone . Why are people making hating sites, and using God's name to defend it. One of them is Love Gods Way. I'm not so very religious, but what they're saying, it just isn't right.

Nothing is wrong with being gay! Why do you take away their rights? Do you know what it feels like to have a friend always contemplating suicide just because he's a bisexual? Because of hate remarks he gets from people? He's only 13 and he's contemplating suicide. Another thing I hate is that once one sibling is labeled gay, their other siblings will get a bad name for it. You can't make someone stop being gay, they're born that way. Do you really think that they have a choice? Believe me, if I think they had a choice, they would've gone straight to avoid all this hate.
Is that what you want? Instead of teaching children how to love everyone for who they are and not to judge people, you're teaching them how to hate on someone for being different? What do you want? I can't take the hate. I know people who accept gays, and those are my group of friends. I don't know how many people at my school accept them, but I know in other places, so many people don't accept them.

Why can't they adopt? Isn't it better than the child having no family at all? I'd rather have two dads or two moms than not having a family at all. As long as they love me, that's all they have to do. A parent's job is to love, raise, and teach their child, no? They can provide that love, that help, that knowledge. And I know that if a parent loves their child, straight or gay, they will accept their child's sexual orientation.

Nothing is right in this world, not that I see. I'm only 13, and I already hate some of it. People tell me to be glad that I was born in America, that I have all these rights; and they're right. Although, I just can't be happy, I just can't. Why can't i be glad that I was born in America? Because of all this hate, discrimination, and everything else against people who are different. For some reason, I just can't see why I should be glad for being born in a world that has hate in it. I don't understand why people can be so heartless.

  1. This is so true. So what if you're gay, society should have moved past that by now. It's like being gay and hating on the straights. Stupid and pointless, just because they're different.
